Iced Sweet Potato Spice Latte with Pecan Brown Sugar Whipped Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 shots espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons pureed sweet potato roasted or steamed
  • 1 tablespoon pecan brown sugar syrup or brown sugar syrup, or maple syrup added separately
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground ginger optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Pecan whipped cream recipe below
  • Praline cinnamon stick or sweet potato chips optional garnish

For Pecan Whipped Cream:

  • ½ cup heavy cream or coconut cream for dairy-free
  • 2 tablespoons pecan brown sugar syrup

Instructions
 

Prepare the Base:

  • In a glass, combine 2 tablespoons of pureed sweet potato and 2-3 shots of espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee).

Mix in Sweetness:

  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of pecan brown sugar syrup (or brown sugar syrup)]

Add Ice:

  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and mix well to chill.

Make the Whipped Cream:

  • In a mixing bowl, whip together ½ cup heavy cream, 2 tablespoons pecan brown sugar syrup, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Top & Garnish:

  • Spoon the pecan brown sugar whipped cream on top of the latte and garnish with praline, a cinnamon stick or sweet potato chips, if desired.
